Goin’ Band Association’s Donations

During the Membership meeting of the 2008 Alumni Band Day, the Board of Directors made a surprise donation of $10,000 to Dean Carol Edwards of the College of Visual and Performing Arts. This money was donated to be deposited into the “Band Together Campaign - Travel Fund” for the Goin’ Band from Raiderland. It was also announced that in addition to this money, GBA donated an additional $4000 to our scholarship endowment over the past year.

Finally, GBA presented to Dr. Bill Ballenger, Director of the School of Music, a check for over $3300 to be deposited in the scholorship endowment. The origin of this money is from the Ken Porter Memorial Fund Donations.

These donations were made possible through the generosity of the membership of the Goin’ Band Association. When you join/renew your membership and purchase DVD’s, Figurines, and CD’s from GBA, this money is given back to help support the Tech Band.

Thank you for your support over the past year and we hope you will help keep the Goin’ Band goin’.

Thank you for making the 21st Annual Alumni Band Day one of the biggest and best yet. The GBA Board of Directors hope you and your family had an enjoyable experience and look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Please remember that we continue to have DVD’s, Figurines, & CD’s available to purchase through the year and they all make great Christmas presents.

Kroger - Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program

The Kroger’s Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program has changed. If you would like to participate this year please download and print this form letter. It contains our official BARCODE. Take this letter with you when you shop at Kroger and have the Cashier scan the barcode when they scan your Kroger Plus Card. Then go shopping. Kroger will write us a check for 1% of your shopping purchases. Last year we received around $200 from Kroger. This program runs from May 1st 2008 thru April 30th 2009. Thanks for your support.

Website Under Re-construction

In case you hadn’t noticed, this website is undergoing a major re-construction. Over the next few weeks we will be developing the site, so expect there to be intermittent service interruptions. We hope to make this site as useful and vibrant as it once was, and we hope to add a few things to make it even better.

60 Years of the Goin’ Band DVD

The DVD have arrived and we have shipped out all of the orders that have pre-ordered. We are STILL accepting ORDERS for the ‘60 Year History of the Goin’ Band’ on DVD. There are 11 individual DVD’s in the Collection. The DVD will be be printed on both sides of a DVD disc to save space and to keep printing costs down. So you will receive a total of 6 DVD’s. DVD’s will include Goin’ Band Video covering the 60 years of history from 1947 - 2006.

You may ORDER now by downloading the form and sending it to us with the proper payment. The Order price is $80 plus Tax/S&H. All orders must be prepaid at the time of ordering. Your payment will not be processed until the DVD’s are shipped.
